A number of arrests made after giant crowd quickly shuts down I-676 in Middle Metropolis, Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Over 50 arrests have been made after a big demonstration quickly shut down components of Interstate 676 westbound in Middle Metropolis on Saturday.Authorities say I-676 was shut down for roughly two hours between the New Jersey state line and the Broad Avenue exit.Based on police, simply earlier than 4 p.m. about 350 members of the Celebration of Socialism and Liberation rushed onto the freeway and began blocking visitors.Video from the scene reveals a crowd of individuals blocking the roadway with indicators.Roughly 320 of these members left I-676 peacefully to stroll by means of Middle Metropolis, police say.Investigators mentioned state police arrested the remaining members who have been blocking the freeway.Total, state police say they made 58 arrests on this incident.
