CHANDIGARH: The Bhartiya Janta Celebration (BJP) candidate Kuljeet Singh Sandhu on Monday received the senior deputy mayor election of Chandigarh Municipal Company.The BJP candidate acquired 19 out of 36 polled votes, whereas the INDIA bloc Congress-AAP) candidate Gurpreet Singh obtained 16 votes.One vote was declared invalid by the mayor, who was the presiding officer to conduct the election.With this, the BJP managed to maintain its flock collectively as its votes remained intact and the social gathering additionally managed to get the help of lone Shiromani Akali Dal councillor.Though it’s not clear which social gathering’s vote was invalidated, evidently the invalid vote belonged to the INDIA bloc.
