The tremor occurred at 9.21 pm with its epicentre 148 km northwest of Kargil, in response to the Nationwide Centre for Seismology (NCS).
The depth of the tremor was 10 km under the floor, as reported by NCS. No speedy harm has been reported, as per the police. The union territory has been experiencing intermittent snowfall since Sunday evening.
