NEW DELHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a recent summon to Trinamool Congress chief Mahua Moitra, for questioning in a case associated to the International Trade Administration Act (FEMA). The scheduled inquiry is about to happen on March 11, as per the official sources.In response to official sources, the 49-year-old politician had requested just a few weeks’ time to take part within the investigation and conveyed her incapability to depose final month.The federal probe company desires to query the previous Lok Sabha MP and document her assertion underneath the provisions of the FEMA as soon as she deposes.The case underneath scrutiny entails transactions linked to a non-resident exterior (NRE) account, together with a number of different overseas remittances and fund transfers, in accordance with sources conversant in the matter.Other than the ED, Moitra can also be going through a preliminary inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) following allegations raised by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey.
