In a launch, Yamunanagar DC Captain Manoj mentioned, “So far, 78 buses of different schools have been checked, of which, a fine of Rs 75,500 was issued to 18 buses and one bus was seized.”Yamunanagar RTO Hairatjeet Kaur (IFS) mentioned, “Some parents in localities hire private unregularized private auto-rickshaws as a means of transport for their children to school. Parents should be a little more careful that they should not hire an auto-rickshaw, as most of the schools’ run buses which is a comparatively safer option. Auto-rickshaws are cheap in expense as compared to school buses, but are highly risky. We will start a drive to spread awareness in cases of auto-rickshaws and instructions are issued to start inspection of autos also.”
