NEW DELHI: An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 hit Indonesia’s Java island on Friday, with its epicenter 132 km north of Tuban in East Java province, Indonesia’s geophysics company (BKMG) stated.Having a depth of 10 km, the tremors have been strongly felt in East Java and its capital Surabaya.In response to the BMKG, the earthquake has no potential to trigger a tsunami. No causalities have been reported to date.
