Two days later, police recovered his physique from a canal beneath Manglaur police limits and buried it on February 21 after conducting a postmortem examination. Shobhit Gautam, a relative of the deceased, stated, “Shivam’s final rites were performed without informing us. We suspect foul play. It appears to be a case of murder and the police are attempting to protect the real culprit.”SP (rural) Swapn Kishore Singh stated, “I have submitted a confidential report identifying the sub-inspector responsible for negligence to seniors for appropriate action.” Later, the police exhumed the physique and handed it over to the sufferer’s household.
