Russian ambassador interacts with Indian delegation that attended World Youth Pageant in Sochi | Occasions Film Information

From a dialogue that included yoga and Bollywood to a photograph session and a tea break with some pancakes and savouries, the Russian ambassador Denis Alipov had deliberate an enticing session with younger members from the Indian delegation that went to Sochi to take part within the World Youth Pageant 2024. It was possibly the best place we could find in Russia to welcome around 20,000 young people from 190 countries.” Speaking extra about India’s participation on the pageant, he added, “Tiranga was one of the most recognisable symbols at the festival and to our delight the Indian delegation was one of the largest with almost 340 participants and some of them are present here today. Our colleagues in Sochi tried to do their best to make your stay convenient and memorable. The organising team arranged more than 800 different events, sessions, discussions on economic matters, world politics, business development. There were also exhibitions, music and dance performances, yoga sessions. I can share with you that I do Suryanamaskar every morning. I shared this with my Indian friends, like Amitabh Kant and I remember he asked me once, ‘How many times you do Suryanamaskar’ and I told him once. He was utterly unimpressed, he was disappointed and he said, ‘Ambassador, you should at least do five.’ But it is a difficult asana,” he stated.‘We were overwhelmed by the love we received in Russia’College students and others who went to Sochi as a part of the Indian delegation had been delighted to share their experiences of attending the World Youth Pageant and so they instructed the ambassador how they had been touched by the hospitality they witnessed. “We were overwhelmed to see how everyone we met went out of their way to welcome us, help us whenever we needed anything. They were very friendly and warm. We were also happy to see that Russia has many fans of Bollywood. They would tell you about the song Jimmy and at one of the shops we went to, the owner told us that he was a huge Amitabh Bachchan fan. He even made us listen to the song Mehbooba from Sholay,” shared one of many individuals on the occasion.
