DEHRADUN: President Droupadi Murmu has signed the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) invoice for Uttarakhand, paving the way in which to make it a regulation. State govt will now problem a notification on this regard, making the Himalayan state the primary to implement UCC. Shailesh Bagauli, secretary to CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, mentioned, “The President gave her approval to the bill on March 11 and it was sent for printing on March 12.After another notification, UCC will be implemented in the state.”In the meantime, a nine-member panel headed by former chief secretary Shatrughan Singh is making ready the principles associated to the procedures and different issues associated to the UCC implementation.
