A Togo-flagged cargo ship was evacuated after an explosion close to the Romanian port of Sulina. The reason for the explosion remains to be unclear, however it’s suspected to be both a mine or an explosion within the engine room. The crew of 12 was safely evacuated by the Romanian Company for Saving Life at Sea. The Romanian naval forces have deployed a vessel to seek for mines within the space.
