BATHINDA: One of many key accused within the 2015 Guru Granth Sahib sacrilege case has named Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Rahim and his “socially adopted” daughter, Honeypreet, for the primary time, as principal conspirators within the case in his assertion recorded beneath CrPC part 164 in a Chandigarh courtroom on Feb 26.Pardeep Kaler, in his assertion, claimed the conspiracy was hatched within the presence of Ram Rahim and Honeypreet in Delhi in April 2015 and Honeypreet instigated the dera followers to execute the sacrilege incidents.Kaler was arrested final month after evading the regulation since 2018.The bir, or Saroop, a bodily copy of the Guru Granth Sahib, was stolen from a gurdwara in Burj Jawahar Singh Wala village in Faridkot district on June 1, 2015. The dera head told them to execute Honeypreet’s instructions at the earliest, assigning the job to Mohinderpal,” Kaler claimed in his assertion. tnn
