The newest episode of Shark Tank India featured the OG Sharks: Aman Gupta, Namita Thapar, Vineeta Singh, Anupam Mittal and Peyush Bansal.The primary pitchers of the day are zero sugar-based sweets model Artinci co-founded by husband-wife Sumit Rastogi and Aarti Laxman. Their ask is: Rs 50 lakh for 1.75% fairness.They made their merchandise with their proprietary mix of sweetness.Aarti mentions about her listening to incapacity to the Sharks to start with saying, “Please excuse if I ask Sumit to explain me the context of what you all are saying because of my hearing disability.”The Sharks strive their merchandise and discover it very tasty. Anupam asks, “What is your hearing disability, if I may ask and you are comfortable to share.”Arti replies, “2 weeks prior to joining my first job in 2001, I woke up one day with ringing in my ear. In audiology I learnt that I had hearing disability. I am comfortable hearing from a closer distance. I have a close-knit set of people and they are all very supportive.”Anupam asks if she nonetheless hears the ringing sound and Sumit explains this to Aarti. Aarti says, “Yes”. Anupam mentioned, “It’s commendable. Because I know it is frustrating and getting to know this just at the beginning of your career and then building this brand, amazing. I came up with this name while running.” The pitchers reveal that also they are Marathon runners and have gone on Himalayan trek and Mt. Kilimanjaro.Aarti said, “I was going through an identity crisis in 2012 and then decided that I still have the rest of me, which is still working. I got into fitness and it is amazing.”Vineeta resonated together with her saying, “It helped right? I remember when my first business failed and I felt everything is over, running cleared my head.”The pitchers then focus on the numbers. Anupam finds their enterprise acumen weak and advises them to slim down the floor space. Vineeta finds their packaging low cost and provides them some circumstances to work on: 1. To make an FMCG ‘guilt-free’ Indian sweets model with a deal with retail. 2. Change model title and work on packaging.With negations and circumstances the pitchers shut the take care of Vineeta: Rs 50 lakh for five% fairness + 1% royalty till Rs 75 lakh is recouped.The pitchers are pleased with the deal.
